Sherry Olson

Growing up in a small town, Sherry was influenced by a great aunt and uncle, Margaret and Theodore Olson—fondly known as Sis and Ted. Their faith, compassion, and dedication to church and community showed her what a life of service was, and it inspired her to explore how to have a positive impact in people’s lives.

She stayed connected to helping roles and gave back over the decades by taking her golden retriever, Codie, to visit nursing homes and coaching Special Olympics volleyball. Still, most of her adult life was focused on work and family responsibilities.

After retiring from a long corporate career, she joined a mobile crisis team in Philadelphia and found a new way to support people facing mental health challenges.  She also recognized how many barriers there are from the time a need arises to actually getting help. This work also helped Sherry better understand how deeply her brother’s early death had shaped her and how powerful it can be to turn pain into purpose.

Through SoWeGo, Sherry can make a more direct impact by connecting people to mental health resources with minimal financial or process delays.  Today, she and her husband Larry, along with the SoWeGo board members, work to make that vision a reality.

SoWeGo… Together.

Larry is a retired information technology director and a hospice volunteer. He co-founded SoWeGo to remove one barrier standing between people and the help they're ready for—cost. SoWeGo connects people to licensed professionals and then steps aside, trusting the people and professionals involved to take it from there.  SoWeGo is a bridge built on simplicity, compassion, and trust.
