Why We Started SoWeGo

We live in a world that is complicated, polarized, and filled with gray. Helping people has become more difficult than it should be. Sherry and Larry envision a different path—one that is simple, compassionate, and clear.

Larry has always been drawn to help people who have no one to lean on. He has devoted many hours to hospice care.  At times, he has sat vigil with people in their final hours, ensuring they would not face death alone.

Sherry’s journey was shaped by family trauma and the devastating loss of her brother to suicide. She experienced firsthand how untreated mental health conditions can affect not only one individual, but an entire family—for generations. She also saw how barriers often prevent people from getting the help they desperately need.

Together, they realized their individual passions could become a shared vision.

They founded SoWeGo to remove the financial and practical obstacles that keep people from accessing mental health care. By combining their compassion and commitment to helping people they created an organization rooted in hope, healing, and human connection.  And one simple belief:

No one should have to face life’s most difficult moments alone.
